Admins can enable and disable advanced features for expenses and expense reports—like split, restriction of pending transactions or report verification.
Select the Settings tab in the left side panel. Then, select the Enable advanced features page within the Expenses & reports drop-down.
Split expense
Switch the Split expense toggle on to allow employees to split their expenses between multiple categories, projects, or cost centers. Employees will be able to split a single expense into multiple expenses (up to 30 splits per expense) and add details for each expense.

Self-approvals
Switch the Self-approvals toggle on to allow admins to approve their own expense reports.
Verification and self-verification
Switch the Verification toggle on to require that expense reports are verified by an admin before they’re closed. This is an additional control to ensure expenses are appropriate and the details approved are correct. Once enabled, reports can’t be closed unless they’ve been verified.

Restrict pending transactions from reports
Switch the Restrict pending transactions from reports toggle on to prevent pending transactions from being submitted—manually or automatically—in expense reports.
