Understand and find expense IDs and report numbers

Each expense and expense report has a unique identification number generated by Expense Management. Expense IDs and expense report numbers can’t be edited.

Where to find the expense ID

Expense numbers are generated as soon as the expense is created, but are displayed in different places depending on the status of the expense.

Approved expenses:

  1. Go to Your expenses.

  2. Select the approved or closed expense to open the Edit expense pop-up.

  3. The expense ID will be displayed.

Incomplete, complete, and submitted expenses:

  1. Go to Your expenses.

  2. Select the manage columns icon to the right of the table column headers.

  3. In the Manage columns pop-up, use the checkbox to select Expense number.

  4. Select the Apply columns button.

  5. The expense ID will be displayed in the table on the page.

Where to find the report number

Report numbers are generated as soon as an expense report is created. You can find the report number on the View report page.

  1. Go to Your expense reports.

  2. Select an expense report. You will be directed to the View report page.

  3. Select the info icon to the right of the report name.

  4. The report number will be displayed in the pop-up.
